PERSONAL STATEMENT
Since a young age, I have always wanted to become a secondary school teacher, having been inspired by my mother, who is also a teacher. Naturally, tutoring went hand in hand with the teaching career path, starting from the days of GCSE exam revision, where I would find myself helping my peers understand difficult concepts they were struggling on. Seeing those students that I helped widen their eyes in comprehension, and smile in the joy of finally understanding what they could not previously grasp, truly motivated me and drove me further into tutoring, as it brought about a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment in helping others. Since I started private tutoring in 2018, I have built upon a lot of experiences in this field as well as broadened my repository of knowledge of the different subjects I tutor. Having a balance between working at a school teaching large groups of students in a school setting and tutoring in small groups or one–to–one in a private tuition environment has provided me with many different experiences, teaching techniques and interactions with various students of different ages and abilities. With every student I tutor, I feel a renewed drive to add value to the life of others, and I feel great satisfaction and contentment in knowing I am helping others to better themselves and open up new opportunities in their lives.
