PERSONAL STATEMENT

My tutoring journey began when I understood the importance of supporting others academically, and the effects it can deliver for both the tutor and the student. I discovered my passion in supporting others when I was back in primary school, where I realised that teaching could bring positive influence not just for the student, but for the teacher as well. I have supported numerous high school students in Japan studying for university entrance exams, allowing me to develop my ability to resonate with each individual student as they all have different learning styles, growth momentum, and objectives. In my tutoring approach, I will ensure that pupils fully understand the fundamentals of the topic and the subject, as they are essential for building up on them to achieve further developed skills. Not just giving descriptions and making pupils work on the questions, I will be giving detailed descriptions that will allow pupils to understand the concept behind the topic, clear examples to familiarise with the concept, and providing a range of questions from easy to hard, allowing pupils to correspond to all sorts of situations.

I will help pupils to become independent learners, checking their work, practically giving specific feedback, and to keep pupils advancing to reach their academic objectives through personalised sessions.
