PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am very fortunate to have had a fantastic education which has led me to find my particular passions for languages, literature and music and I aspire to help others to enjoy their education as much as I have. I believe that having a curious mind is one of the most important things in life and try to acquire knowledge everywhere I go, whether this involves picking up a few words in a new language whilst travelling, or watching science documentaries. In this sense, I aim to foster a sense of curiosity in all my tutees by engaging with their own interests to bring traditional academic subjects to life. Having studied in 3 different countries over the past couple of years with students from all over the world, I am aware of the importance of clarity and positivity in a learning environment, as well as the diverse ways we can learn. The encouraging attitude of my own teachers has enabled me to do things that I would never think possible and I aim to reflect his in my own teaching methods by celebrating the personal achievements of my students. In my classes, we focus on a close study of the syllabus and past papers whilst integrating more creative tasks. I equip students with all the tools they need to realise their academic potential and to achieve to the best of their abilities, and I aim to do this within a supportive, secure and enjoyable environment.
