PERSONAL STATEMENT
Inspired by my mother, who is a secondary school teacher, I first started tutoring when I was 16. My first teaching job was to help my younger cousins clear their entrance exams. When they passed their exams and got into the school of their choice, I felt exhilaration unlike any other; witnessing my pupils accomplish feats is what motivates me to continue tutoring. Over the years, I’ve tutored students for their GCSEs, A level, and entrance exams. As I continue to tutor pupils, I strive to go beyond focusing solely on academic skills and I aim to impart holistic knowledge and experiences to my students to ensure they are well-informed, capable and confident individuals. I realize that this task carries great responsibility, and it is my job to ensure my pupils develop a keen interest in their subject material so that their learning goes beyond solely passing school examinations. I thus aim to adopt an integrated learning approach, using examples and analogies from relatable spheres of life, which is particularly helpful in teaching Sciences and related subjects. I also aim to contribute positively towards my students’ personal development and uncover what they’re passionate about. After all, this is where the child is most likely to accomplish extraordinary feats. I’m honoured to be able to contribute towards the next generation’s leaders.
