PERSONAL STATEMENT
Tutoring has become a significant part of my life, driven by my genuine love for learning and a desire to help others succeed, not just academically, but in all aspects of daily life. It's more than just a job; it's a fulfilling endeavour that aligns with my values and interests.
My admiration for passionate tutors began when I experienced firsthand the positive impact a patient and compassionate educator can have on a student's understanding and confidence. For me, this was my high school philosophy teacher, who answered each and every question I had as thoroughly as possible, and when he couldn’t, he would help me find an answer on my own. He helped become and independent learner rather than just a student, and this has given me the opportunity to learn a lot more during my academic career.
I firmly believe in tailoring my approach to each student's individual needs and learning style as I am experienced with ASD and have developed my own study strategies and techniques to tackle specific needs and difficulties and make learning a process, not just an outcome.
Witnessing students grow from struggling to thriving learners is deeply gratifying. Tutoring, for me, is about fostering not only knowledge but also self-confidence, such that, in a way the greatest success for a tutor is when a student doesn’t need them anymore. Every success story, every "aha" moment, fuels my passion for tutoring. It's an ongoing mission to make a positive impact on the lives of my students, helping them realize their full potential.
