SKILLS & INTERESTS

I love to read and I am learning to skateboard. I am an avid gym goer and very interested in health and nutrition. 

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I was always the student who helped my friends in class when they were struggling with schoolwork. I had always found that they had the capability to tackle the question; however, they were not completely confident with just the teacher’s explanations. I found it profoundly rewarding to help my friends whilst also strengthening my knowledge and confidence in my own subjects. From then on, my efforts were recognised by my teachers, even in my sixth form where I was given a group of GCSE Chemistry students and asked to tutor them. All the students had a minimum of three grade jumps and two families of the students reached out to me for online private tutoring in the lead up of their exams. 

I believe that tutoring is so effective in increasing confidence as it goes beyond the syllabus and provides an environment where the subject can be tailored to the child's personality thus encouraging a greater interest in the material. Exams are not a thing of the past for me as I am still in education therefore, I believe I am a strong candidate in terms of relatability to the child’s stress and possible worry. It is evident that this will enable me to form a stronger bond with my students, therefore propelling them into greater success and helping them enjoy the art of learning too.
