WORK EXPERIENCE

This has included working as a Scientific Copywriter for Omnicom Health Group, and in Strategic Communications for the National Cancer Research Institute and British Medical Association.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Positive and supportive role models have been critical in my own academic success. I therefore understand how the right support and encouragement can allow students to make considerable progress in subjects they would have previously found difficult. My lessons focus on developing students' understanding of topics and concepts, not only to pass their exams, but to develop a passion for learning. My approach to teaching always begins by creating a safe and supportive environment. I get to know my students' unique needs and abilities, and work with them to set appropriate goals. I then tailor my lessons, integrating a range of materials to build a well rounded view of the subject, and to make each session as engaging as possible. I can focus on syllabus knowledge, exam technique and revision methods, along with nurturing skills from communication to problem solving. I find it immensely rewarding to watch my students' confidence and ability grow as our lessons advance and see them achieve their goals, both in the classroom and beyond.
