I have taught Mindfulness and Psychoeducation since 2020, while co-running 8-week and 5-week MBCT and MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Stress Reduction) courses to different populations, from university students and lecturers to hospital staff and psychiatric patients. My most recent experience involved teaching Mindfulness to primary school children aged 4 to 10 in London during Mental Health Awareness Week. On this particular occasion, I created different lesson plans to cater to the needs and learning abilities of each age group, teaching about the importance of taking care of our mental health, knowing how and when to emotionally regulate, as well as mindfulness techniques.
I have also taught Ancient Greek to a student at A-level who was preparing for their final exams.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
As a young child, I moved countries and had to adapt very quickly to the education system of a culture which was very different to the one I was born and raised in. Consequently, I was behind in many subjects and had to catch up in a short period of time with the rest of the classroom. Because of this, I was tutored from a very young age and came to understand the importance and usefulness of it early on. Thanks to my tutors, who were passionate and patient, I was able to develop a solid foundation for my learning, which set me up for the rest of my years in education. Due to my early struggles, I empathise with students who might need extra support and I believe that anyone can learn anything when a subject is presented as interesting and useful to them. I tend to cater my lessons to the unique needs and interests of the student, so as to engage them as best as possible with the lesson. As a creative person, I like to find new ways of explaining and delivering different types of content, while also fostering the creativity of the student. In this way, students create their own inner map through which they learn to navigate different concepts and ideas independently. When teaching, I enjoy making associations across a number of subjects, emphasising how each subject is somehow interconnected to others. I have found that this tends to expand the learning possibilities and curiosity of the student. I am a strong believer in nurturing confidence and trust in young people, while also establishing and cultivating a relationship based on empathy, respect, and patience. Through my teaching, I focus on the unique strengths of the student and encourage their development.
